Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking your salmon.
- In a bowl, combine the crab meat, chopped shrimp, cream cheese, mayonnaise, fresh dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a sharp knife, carefully create a pocket in each salmon fillet by cutting a slit along the side, but not all the way through.
- Gently spoon the crab and shrimp mixture into the pockets of each salmon fillet, packing it in nicely.
- Lightly drizzle olive oil over the stuffed salmon and sprinkle with additional black pepper.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For perfect salmon, check doneness a few minutes early to prevent overcooking. Serve with a crisp salad, roasted asparagus, or garlic mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
