Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion (if using) until translucent. Add the chopped spinach and cook for a couple of minutes until wilted.
Mixing Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until well blended.
- Stir in the sautéed spinach mixture and shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Pour the entire mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish or oven-safe skillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the center is set and lightly golden on top. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
- Allow the quiche to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing it into wedges.
Notes
Pairs well with a mixed green salad or fresh fruit. For brunch, serve alongside mimosas or coffee.
