  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional) Adds extra flavor
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar For sweetness
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving Base for the stir-fry

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and slicing all vegetables as indicated, and ensure your shrimp is fully peeled and deveined.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the pan and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  2. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the sliced peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crunchy.
  4. Return the shrimp to the pan and pour in the soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
  1. Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles, and enjoy your mouthwatering meal!

Notes

For best results, ensure the pan or wok is hot enough before adding the shrimp. You can substitute the bell peppers with other vegetables like snap peas or broccoli for an exciting twist.
